We had a lovely day at the Aquarium in Valencia yesterday but I am really looking forward to today. I am visiting my aunt Charo, my cousin Susana (same as me) and her husband Eugenio who live in Puerto de Sagunto, 20 kms north of Valencia. This is the place where I used to spend my summers when I was young.
Fishes, science and architecture in Valencia
Valencia recently built a series of beautiful buildings which we really wanted to visit. They are all by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
Too many dots, the never ending ridge
North of Benidorm, just a stones throw lies some amazing rocky landscapes. They appear in many of the marketing images. We went to take a look ourselves. They had a surprise in store for us.
An ever changing landscape
This was a post which I started back in the UK but never got around to publishing, partly because I wanted to see what the continent would bring.
Throughout our journey, something new is appearing on the horizon. Something large, sleek, elegant and something in abundance.
Two very different towns
We finished the worktop eventually. The kitchen was up and running a few days before we left, so we could invite relatives and friends for lunch to give them a proper farewell. We are now back on the road ready to enjoy the last few weeks in Spain.
Sustainable Dora
She may be old, but we have done our best to make Dora sustainable.
Having a bit of fun
We are back to Guisando for about ten days to say good-bye to our beloved house, mountains, family and friends before heading off to Valencia and, gradually leaving Spain. Time to move on to a new country: Italy.
Six month anniversary
Can you believe it, our six month anniversary of travel slipped by and we didn’t really notice, we were just having too good a time.
The town of the Thousand and One Nights
We are gradually making our way back to Guisando, where we will spend about a week before leaving Spain towards Italy and East Europe. But on our way we stop at Cordoba, the town of the thousand and one nights.
Securing Dora
A motorhome is not a castle, and the reality is any good thief could get into it. You can slow them down and deter them. These are devices we use and the steps we took to secure Dora.
