After spending a lovely time with Jero in Toledo, we headed towards our be-loved Guisando, the village where we have our second home (Casa Dos) is.
Has it really been twenty years?
It has been nice to have lunch and catch up with Enrique. It is now 16.00 and we don’t really want to spend another night in Madrid. Two days are enough. It now feels too big, too busy and too claustrophobic. Besides, I cannot wait to drive off to Toledo.the place where I studied and to see my very good friend, Jero, who I haven’t seen for twenty years.
Memories of RBB
Today will be a chill out day after our stressful and strenuous time on La Pedriza circuit.
100 days, the goods and the not so goods
We have already been 100 days on the ride, no idea where the time has gone. We all love round numbers so the 100 days travelling deserves a post.
La Pedriza Circuit-a trek to remember
After our challenging but satisfying climb of peak Yelmo, we slept in the natural park that night.
A challenging but satisfying climb in Sierra Guadarrama

A cheesy post
Another visit organized by Fermin. As we are really getting into the artisan world, this time he has arranged for us to visit a cheese shop to learn the process of making cheese. This will be a cheesy and smelly post. Are you ready?
Back to basics
We have finished our wine tour around Ribera del Duero, we are now heading towards Esguevillas the Esgueva where we are meeting Fermin in the morning. He has the morning free and he has organized traditional places to visit around this village but he has not revealed what these visits are about. I am very excited about this.
A friendship like a gran reserva
On the way down from Asturias, we will stop in Valladolid to visit a few wineries as well as to see my friend Fermin who I haven’t seen for ten years.
Three out of five
After the brief break in Picos de Europa we are back to wine touring, now in the province of Valladolid. This region has five Denominaciones de Origen (D.O.): Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Cigales, Toro and Vinos de la Tierra de Leon, we visited three. Read more
