Wandering around Europe in a motorhome
This was a post which I started back in the UK but never got around to publishing, partly because I wanted to see what the continent would bring.
Throughout our journey, something new is appearing on the horizon. Something large, sleek, elegant and something in abundance.
Here it comes again, the time when one adventure ends and another one begins. Our main trip to France has finished although we will come back briefly in the summer to attempt to climb Mont Blanc.
We have spent less than we budgeted for in France!
We had had such a good previous day, should we visit more vineyards, or leave it at that?. Another country was looming on the horizon, Spain.
The Loire wine experience was neutral, would the Bordeaux region change our view?
After our one-day visit to the Ile d’Oleron we stopped in Bordeaux city before starting our wine route around this area. This visit turn out to be very brief…
After our intense three days in the Loire Valley, we return to the coast to continue our original itinerary towards the Île d’Oléron.
Having spent quite a bit of time on the coast recently, we felt we needed a change. So we headed off inland towards the Loire Valley, one of the numerous wine regions in France.
So we decided to take a little detour up the Loire Valley to sample some wine, which Susana is writing about, and to take in some Chateaux.
It has been a while since we have been to a largish city and it was a bit of a shock.
