We left the sophistication of the Cote d’Azur behind us, the wealth, the glamour, and we entered Italia. You might think nothing would change. The landscape was the same, the same coastline, the same climate, maybe a different language.
Everything changes.
We are half way through our travels and we thought it would be useful to have an overview of our costs, year to date.
We had such a lovely time skiing in Vall de Nuria that we thought of having another sky day in Vallter 2000. We drove all the way up there. The next day was quite foggy. Skiing in the fog is not pleasant so we decide to drive down to Arbucies. Dora’s gear may have arrived today.
Ideally you are out on the mountains and the sun is shining, there is a gentle wind and the views are endless. It isn’t always like this. Sometimes you get wet.
We leave Morella heading north towards Barcelona, and out of Spain. We will both be sad. It has been such an important part of the journey for us. But before we go we have arranged to see a specialist mechanic who is just outside Girona.
A motorhome is not a castle, and the reality is any good thief could get into it. You can slow them down and deter them. These are devices we use and the steps we took to secure Dora.
What is it like cooking in Dora?
Stuff that impacted our trekking the most. There were two items that really changed the way we trekked, and the comfort of the trek. We would like to tell you why and review the ones we use. So what are they? Water bladders and trekking poles.
From the outset neither of us was keen on taking UK TV with us, but that is not to say we don’t watch anything.
Generally Dora has been pretty good. She has given us some headaches and stress, but nothing really major. Was this about to change?
