Can you believe it, our six month anniversary of travel slipped by and we didn’t really notice, we were just having too good a time.
Although the time is flying by, which can only be expected, so far it has been truly amazing, and we can’t wait to see what the next six to seven months brings. On the horizon we return to France to the Verdon Gorge and Milleu bridge. Then onto Italy where we hope to climb 4 volcanoes; Vesuvius, Etna, Stromboli and Volcano. From here we take aim to take Dora on a ferry to Albania and many other former communist countries, returning back to the alps for some summer trekking.
It is all looking very exciting. So we will be raising a belated glass of vino to our six month anniversary, and we have found a favourite. We came across it while visiting the Ribera del Duero region. It was my favourite bodegas, Portia, designed by Norman Foster.
We also liked the wine, but we couldn’t find it anywhere. Eventually we saw a bottle in a bar below Susana’s parents, and then we saw some in Dia supermarket, a fairly low cost place. Guess where it is on sale now? Lidl. Here it is €5.99, which we think is pretty good value. Hopefully we will be able to find it in the UK when we get home. Really cool simple graphics to boot.

The time has just flown by….can’t believe it is six months already. We are Lidl converts now and visit ours in Tonbridge quite regularly. Just wish we had a store in Tunbridge Wells. We will check to see if your favourite wine is on sale here. I bought some jeans and shoes last week for rediculous prices …4.99 for jeans and 4.99 for a pair of shoes. Absolutely brilliant.
Good to see our advice goes down well. Now in france, bit of a backlog of blogs. Will be trekking in the Verdon gorge soon, washing day today.
